Istanbul Park Hotel

This hotel is my parent hotel when I am in Istanbul and visiting suppliers in Gebze. Located in Tuzla, a beautiful artist/fisherman village from the past. Here you can walk, sit and enjoy the flair or the special vibe of this small town. If you want, you can also shop in the Marina. The hotel consists of 3-4 smaller houses, which are a maximum of 3 floors and are located around a beautiful pool with bar. All rooms are more like apartments, with separate bedrooms, air conditioning and kitchen. Great: I don't know of any hotel that is quieter in Istanbul, you don't even hear a muezzin. Nothing, just the chickens in the neighboring green belt in the morning. In 5 minutes you are by pedes on the promenade or the marina, very good location despite the tranquility. Breakfast takes place in the Bedri Usta restaurant, which is located at the entrance to the hotel and offers not only the best breakfast in town for me, but also the best barbecue dishes in town. Price and performance are always right here !

We came here for a short (2 night) business trip. The hotel was a convenient location. The hotel is spread-out over several buildings - several small blocks with about 6-7 rooms in each. Parking - a little bit chaotic but there were enough spaces. It's a case of - if you can park then you park. Reception - no issues. The room (a small suite) was comfortable enough and there were no problems. It was pretty small however, and also quite low ceilings - admittedly I'm ridiculously outrageously tall, but I couldn't stand up straight anywhere in the rooms, which even for me us unusual. Normally I expect to have to duck for doorways but not when I'm in the room. The room was on the top floor and there was only stairway access (pretty steep). This is worth knowing if you struggle with steps. Good wifi. Easy to get on and appeared fast. It looked to be a nice pool area and bar, but I didn't get to investigate it - too much work unfortunately. The restaurant was excellent - both for breakfast and also evening meal. Great service. Good choice and good quality. It is a bit unusual now to have ashtrays on the tables and people smoking but this is Turkey and you have to accept the way things are here. Overall - good, and I would come here again if it wasn't for the the room height - now that the buildings are built there isn't much they can do about that.
