Odda Boutique Hotel

A lovely historical hotel, fully restored, on a bustling backstreet, a few steps away from Istiklal Cadessi, about midway between Taksim and Galata. The friendly reception staff speak English, and, I'd warrant other languages. In the charming street level breakfast nook, you can sip coffee or tea with simit, shortbread, or English cake, or, if need be, cereal and milk (that's about it, but it's enough), while watching the neighborhood awaken. On our fourth visit to Istanbul, one of our favourite cities, we have no need to rush about seeing the main sites. Petros Hotel would be a good starting point from which to plan that, but for us, this time, it's simply a very pleasant place to idle about, enjoying the life of the city. The room is what to expect from an old hotel, but updated and comfortable. The double glazed windows completely dampen the street noise. The bathroom is modernized with a new stall shower. The photos on the site are true depictions of what to expect. Cozy, clean, comfortable.

Clean and cozy, very good location near Istiqlal Street. With the windows closed, you can't hear the noise outside enough. Snow white linen and towels, very comfortable bed. No breakfast, but tea, coffee, milk cereal and cookies. Very nice and polite guy at reception!

We had the suite and the space was wonderfully large. Spacious bathroom with large sink and a shower cubicle outside. So in the bedroom which was also quite big with a fine bed. The location of the hotel is ideal. Behind the shopping street where you have many dining options. In terms of noise, it was not too bad for us. We were counting on it and we brought earplugs. But I imagine people could be affected by this. Otherwise the stay was totally fine. Recommended!
