Yazar Hotel

This hotel is shocking!!! We had flight booked with Turkish Airlines which was cancelled. No way we can get there. They have refused to waive cancellation fee and said we had to pay THE FULL AMOUNT! They will not do anything to accommodate your needs. Soon after we had booked we requested a minor change to the booking, this was refused. AVOID!!!!!!!

The hotel's location is great and is the biggest plus point as it is close to most of the major tourist attractions. However the facilities and service provided are bad and the rooms are not well maintained. We had 2 double rooms and the shower space was very crammed in one of them. There was no safe provided in the wardrobe in another room (despite it being clearly mentioned on the listing) and also the toiletries holder was broken. We reported these issues right after we checked-in but nothing was done to fix them. We noticed a few moulds too. Electric kettle and tea/coffee making facilities were also not provided in the rooms. On asking about it, a kettle, some cups and few lose tea bags were given. The breakfast was appalling. The rooftop space to have breakfast was extremely disappointing. There was no proper cover and sheets were put on the sides, which were not enough to stop the cold and the wind. The bare wooden chairs were uncomfortable too. The housekeeping time is limited to 3 hours (10 am to 1 pm latest). The hotel provides airport pickup and drop facilities and umbrellas for guests though. They also have a room to keep luggage for few hours.

Hotel have great location near lot of restaurants and baklava shops, as well as galata bridge, egypt market, hagia sophia... Staff is very kind and speak english nice. I recommended it to people who will not spend a lot of time there, but want to explore the city.
