Volley Hotel Izmir

I read many reviews of this hotel and I do not think they were fair. I stayed in this hotel for several weeks while my mother was in the nearby hospital. It is true it is not a brand new hotel but the prices were good and it is very clean. The internet worked very well which was important and it had great water pressure air conditioning and the bed was very comfortable. The rooftop pool and bar is very nice and the location was great. The breakfast was excellent and was not continental as another patron mentioned. They had a good assortment of foods and fresh made to order omlettes. By far the best thing about the hotel is the employees. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and to make sure I had everything I could need. They were helpful and friendly and very professional everyone from housekeeping to the kitchen staff to the amazing people at the front desk who not only tried to help me in English but also taught me some Turkish. I would definitely stay here again.

This is unquestionably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Their website is deceptive, offering services like paid airport transfer and laundry service that they don’t provide. Their pool has absurd hours (10am to 6pm) before closing and becoming a loud DJ space until 11pm. Smoking occurs throughout the property, including in rooms. Cigarette burns apparent on carpet and furnishings. I encountered broken mirrors, shower doors falling off, and unattached toilet seats. Air conditioning is sporadic and the hotel started controlling it centrally, turning it off while I was in the room. Spa is inexplicably cash only. Coffee bar is always closed. Staff has regularly engaged in misinformation or deception.

A good hotel in terms of price-performance ratio.
