Sarpedor Boutique Hotel & SPA

Our honeymoon, which began with great excitement at the beginning of September, ended as a bad experience. We were initially captivated by the beauty of the view, but it didn't take long for us to realize that the view was the only truly good thing about the hotel. Room: The bathroom drain in our room smelled terrible, and when we reported it to reception, we received responses like, "It happens sometimes, there's nothing we can do." The smell intensified as the hotel got more crowded; on the last day it became unbearable, forcing us to leave the air conditioning and room doors open. Meals: The hotel was a bit less crowded on the first day and the food seemed to be better prepared; I wouldn't say it was perfect, but it was edible. However, it got much worse each day. The meats gradually became "rubbery," and some dishes on the menu, like pizza, started to be marked "Unavailable today." Pool and Sea: The pool wasn't very clean and was cold; there was sand and sediment at the bottom, but it was still swimmable. The sun loungers are dirty, but you can ask for a towel to sit on them; the sun lounger covers weren't changed during our stay. The sea is choppy and there is no beach. But we enjoyed swimming (this applies to the sea). Employee: Only 1-2 people among the staff (I think they were the supervisors) seemed to know their jobs; the rest of the staff were indifferent. For example, you say you didn't like the food and they say "Enjoy your meal," you're sitting by the pool and nobody asks if you need anything, you go to the bar and ask for a "cola," they hand you the cola without saying a word, no one asks if you want an iced glass or anything else you need. It does have its advantages: The view is beautiful, the room is fairly spacious, and the environment is generally quiet and peaceful. Some nearby hotels with the same view cost two or three times as much as this place. However, affordable prices are no excuse for foul odors, dirty sunbeds, and poor service and food. We chose this hotel for our honeymoon, but we were disappointed in every aspect except the view from the service.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere and view are wonderful, but the service and staff attitude are very disturbing. After experiencing problems repeatedly and complaining to the manager, the manager doesn't even apologize, instead making snide remarks, making excuses, interrupting you, and even calling you an arrogant jerk.

Neglect, poor service.
