Binkaya Hotel

have only been here once, when we met a group of fellow contributors to the now, seemingly defunct, Dalyan Live website. it was a bit of a tradition to meet on saturday lunchtime at the mosque tea garden, but as a shambling alcoholic, they agreed to meet at the Frogs place. very welcoming couple run it, or at least, ran it then (this was 2009) the Frog and his partner. nice little place, pleasant pool, good for the market on saturday, and the cakes were excellent. beer wasnt bad either.

Reviewing this venue as a restaurant - not actually stayed here. My daughter has talked about the Bin Kaya restaurant a number of times and she visits it every time she is in Dalyan with her family. This was the first visit to the restaurant by my wife and I. How it works it that the first people to book dinner each night get to choose the main course from the extensive menu on offer. All other subsequent bookings have to have the same main course that's been selected by the first people to book. That way there's no waste and they can keep prices competitive. This might sound a bit restrictive but everything on the menu is so appealing that only the fussiest eater could have any objectives. When we booked someone had already selected Beef Bourguignon which suited us just fine. It was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. We had a superb king prawns and garlic butter to start. The ambience of the place is lovely and well suited for that special romantic meal. The decor seemed to be Moroccan but maybe it was Turkish - I'm not an expert. The owner Christophe is French and he goes out of his way to ensure you have an enjoyable meal and a memorable experience. As I say we only ate here so can't comment on what it's like to stay but - it looks like a pretty cool place to me.

Ok everyone has already praised this hotel, believe every word, Christophe and Funda, are truly wonderful hosts, its like staying in their house, as a friend, we had a wonderful 12 days, cannot fault this hotel
