Club Meridyen Apartments

Staff were very polite. Booked a studio. This was pretty much the “attick” of the hotel. Low sloped ceiling, having to duck down around the room and duck to get through the door onto the balcony. Hotel was rundown. Cabinets were broke in my room. Lights were damaged and not working. The guy who showed me to my room fixed the cabinet when I walked in. Quite dirty and grim, mould in the bathroom. Shower screen was broken. As for the pool area, looked like a nice area. I never used it so can’t comment much on that. I asked at the reception for more toilet roll and was told my first one was free, and I had to pay for more which was a shock and unreasonable.

From the moment we checked in, we were surprised to be asked to pay £100 to use the air conditioning and a further £20 for the safe key. I have stayed in many hotels before and have never been charged separately for these facilities. Although the rooms were clean, some of the internal doors and furniture were broken and in need of repair. Our booking was advertised as a two-bedroom apartment, but in reality, it was more like a studio with two camp beds placed in the lounge, which was very disappointing. We also asked for additional toilet paper and were told that we would have to pay for it, which we found quite unreasonable. Overall, apart from the pool area, we were disappointed with the standard of the accommodation. The staff were generally friendly, but we did get the impression that we were treated differently because we chose not to eat in the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, the accommodation did not meet our expectations based on what was advertised when we booked.

From the minute we took the transfer to arriving at the hotel eating in the restaurant and chilling by the pool what a fantastic family run holiday accommodation, absolutely fantastic we will be going back in October because they were so nice both myself and my granddaughter with her baby loved it ❤️
