Munamar Beach Hotel

Positives - Clean public areas, great location central to everything , most of Staff friendly , beds comfy. Pool area always able to get a subbed . Negatives - Food not great , no fruit at breakfast , have to drink from paper/plastic cups, main meals mostly cater for Turkish and Russians, Luke warm lots of Flies on food . All inclusive very limited selection of drinks . Towels in room thread bare have seen better days . Only 1 key per couple . Bathroom window opens to communal hallway unable to shut . Hard sell from staff member who seeks you out at when you arrive trying to get you to attend welcome meeting which I read on here was a hard sell tactic for excursions , became confrontational when I said I would not be attending the welcome meeting said I was disrespecting him . What a joker . No luggage room or courtesy room to shower when you have a late flight home . WiFi poor . Icmeler areas lovely I would come back to the resort but not this hotel

We stayed here in June 2026 . I havnt got a bad thing to say about this hotel. The food was great. Yes they cater for Turkish but there was always somethink I liked . Drinks at bar were nice . Staff were pleasant and friendly. We tried to book sept 2026 but it was fully booked . Would recommend this hotel for family the entertainment was good there . Would definitely return here

My wife and i have just returned from this hotel and can honestly say its the poorest one we have stayed at , first of all its not what is advertised first the good points the public areas are kept spotless ,the staff in the restaurants bar areas and brilliant and friendly, now the poor points ,what they don't tell you is the main part of the hotel is situated on a very busy road junction, which is to say the least very dangerous ,the entrance has cars parked outside the steps along with scooters makinging it very difficult to cross the road because delivery vans park along these parked cars so that the road is reduced in width , they drive like idiots entering the junction at speed so anyone crossing is put at risk particularly elderly people and children ,we witnessed 2 accidents whilst there, then the are the steps from our room 305 there were 31 steps to navigate going to the restaurant, in total 840 steps going and coming back , then the restaurant in decided into two sections ,they don't tell you that in their advertisement that this is in three sections, food is another issue, none of the food is suitable unless you are Turkish or Russian, salads with blue and red sauces , then the cooked food Turkey or Chicken cooked in stews and everyone had peppers in which my wife is allergic to numerous vegetables boiled in some the of liquid, fish , meatballs and chicken skewers were ok but he chips looked as if they had been cooked many times ,pasta was ok breakfast was boiled eggs or omelettes with tomatoes cooked with cheese on top, now the sweets consisted of watermelon or honeydew melon oranges and cakes all of which were sickly and bland. we arrived just before midnight to find no drinking water in the room went to reception and asked could we have some bottled water and the answer was there is a supermarket across the road you can buy it there and guess what this was owned by the hotel, next the swimming pools all three of them had no steps into the water only ladders so customers with walking difficulties would find in very difficult.and the same for children ,our room has a very small patio with a high wall with only a view of the top rooms in the opposite block but the aircon unit was blowing hot air into it making it unusable, next and the most frightening thing was after returning from the pool we were in out room when we heard loud shouting and banging thinking it was some guests having an argument but then i noticed a man standing on the patio wall which was very narrow he jumped down into the patio knocking on the door asking how many people were in the room i explained myself and my wife but she was in the shower he said shut the door don't move it was then we smelt a very acrid smell, several minutes later a heavy banging on our door then it opened and a fireman entered in full breathing apparatus he said you ok shut door and stay , after quite a long time someone knocked on the door saying we need to evacuate you and the passage way was full of black smoke and the floor covered in soot having taken us to an area near the reception we found several firemen and police and were told there had been a severe fire in the front apartment, after a long wait they said we could go back to our room then changed their minds and said they were putting us in another hotel it turned out it was across the road a very old building and they wanted to put us on the 5th floor which after climbing four flights of stairs we declined saying it was to much for us being over 80 years old with no lift, after speaking to the reception they found us a room in the main building so after packing our luggage moving unpacking the hours went by long into the evening ,the gentleman who stayed with us whilst moving was great but at no time did the management speak to us or as if any of our belongings has been effected, so that really put a damper on our holiday , this was our fourth time in Icmeler and we will not be returning.
