Royal Heights is basically in the middle of nowhere, Apartments clinging to the side of a hill, some over run with ants, shabby poorly maintained accommodation, a bit like camping in doors. A shuttle bus runs up and down the hill once an hour from the handful dilapidated dirty shops at the top to the pebbly dirty beach at the bottom. where you will find a selection of plastic sun beds in varying states of repair scattered along 200 metres long by 4.5 metres wide, where there is a bar that sells a small selection of drinks. There is a broke chair lift that would have taken you from almost the top to almost the bottom but the rust has taken hold and you are saved from using it.. There is no Wifi on this dry remote outpost, It is offered by a few restaurants, but that is very much like the chair lift, they say they have it, but its not likely to work. There is a bus service that will take you to Bodrum, runs possibly once an hour, gets full, very full, expect it to be over filled, taking your life in your hands. So a car is a must, unless you have just finished training for a triathlon and happy to endure the climb in sweltering heat. If you are lucky to have an apartment with a view of the sea, you will have a unrestricted view of the fishing trawlers coming in and out inbetween the commercial cargo ships. I would say wait a few years until they have finished building in this area then book somewhere else.
