The House Hotel Cappadocia

There is no one in charge at the hotel. Nobody cares about the guest. No service, bad food, bad breakfast. There is absolutely no service.

This is a very nice hotel, with wonderful landscaping and nice rooms. However, prospective guests should be warned that it is built down the side of a cliff and it's a very long way from the top where reception is, to the bottom where the restaurant is. The one lift on the premises only goes down two floors from reception, and after that you have to take the stairs - and there are a LOT of them! It was a long descent down for meals and coming up again took me ages, with frequent pauses to "admire the view," which I admit was pretty good. There was even a flight of steps inside our room to reach the level where the bed and bathroom were, so if you have difficulties with that, forget staying here.

This hotel is one of the biggest disappointments in all my years traveling around the world
