Village Cave House Hotel

The hotel's location is wonderful, and I am satisfied with the view. However, there were big problems with equipment management and staff response. First, the facility was old, and I had a lot of trouble being unable to properly lock the room key. Staff were out during the night, so there was no one available to assist, and I was made to wait in front of the room for about 30 minutes. The staff told me they would replace it the next day, but in the end, no action was taken. Also, cigarette butts and trash were scattered outside the hotel, and I didn't feel that cleaning or management was thorough. There was insufficient ventilation indoors, and the odors from the toilet and bathroom, as well as the moisture and steam after showering, accumulated, which was very unpleasant. The biggest problem was the battery-operated smoke detector going off in the middle of the night, which prevented me from getting enough sleep. I told the hotel about this matter, but I haven't received a reply, and no action has been taken. It feels like the focus on the good location has led to neglecting facility management and guest service. The location is great, but the service was very poor, so it wasn't a comfortable stay.

This was the second time visiting the hotel, with the first time being ten years ago. The staff are very helpful and very friendly and both times we have been very lucky to have a chat with the owner Halil, as well as having tea with his son. The hotel was clean, tidy and well presented. The breakfast was nice with a good selection of options, and staff were quick to replenish the food. Would definitely recommend getting up early to see the balloons everyday and this hotel has probably the best view. (We did try other sunset areas but drinking tea and watching from the hotel is easily the best). The hotel is central to the town centre which is beneficial and you can also purchase trips and tours from the hotel as well. Would recommend!!

I stayed in this hotel recently as part of a group tour from Ireland ,All I can say is “wow” the place is a little bit of heaven .It is ideally situated and the views of the hot air balloons outside my window in the morning were amazing .The hotel comprises of idelyic cave rooms which are immaculately clean and well maintained with a beautiful balcony area outside every room . Onur and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable and nothing seemed an inconvenience for them . If I’m ever lucky enough to make it back to Cappadocia this is definitely where I would book to stay agsin
