Roche Royal

This is top level hotel with nice lobby area and outside pool and children's playground with interesting water fountains. It is located convenient to walk to the monastery, about 15 minutes. It is modern design in the rooms with plenty of bedroom area space, a small balcony area as well. There is refrigerator in the room, but mainly filled with hotel drinks. The beds are quite comfortable and there is sofa area as well. The air conditioning worked very well. There is good closet space. The only complaint is that the bathroom was very small for such a hotel in this class. Hardly room to stand at the wash basin without touching the toilet. The shower tub was also rather narrow and confining. The restaurant service was good. The wifi in the room was quite good. There is no buffet style breakfast provided. Overall, good quality for money. Large parking area on hotel grounds as well. And across the street there is a small supermarket with restaurant as well. In the supermarket you can find many different wines and drinks as well as some snacks.

I came for a team meeting. Having seen a cople of 'good hotels' in aeast Ukraine, my expectations were quite low. Roche Royal is a good resort even of you dont go with low expectations. Good rooms, clean, pretty big, nicely furnished. Friendly and useful staff. Food is good, not outstanding. The pool (outdoor) is nice, long enough for a little swimming (about 20 meters), clean and well maintained, also friendly for children. A bit small for diving. The roof top bar is also great in the evening and the bartender would stay till the last customer decides to go to sleep. Price very decent. Negotiated for the group it was about 950 hrivna (~30 Eur) for a twin room, breakfast included for two nights. I recommend the ace for a small team meeting or short relaxation if you are in the area. The monastery (Lavra) is worse visiting and has impressive underground tunnels in the mountain.

High luxury service , maybe the best within200km Amazing cuisine. Prices in restourant are not very expensive. This is my second trip to Sviatohirsk. It is high recomended to stay in this hotel during weekend
