Saint Petersburg

This hotel is located beside the river with a beautiful view from the restaurant. I had a back view from my room which was so elegant with modern furniture. Also sleeping quality was very good regarding bed and pillows. Despite this elegance the house keeping was awful, I had to report it each day of our stay. The carpets near the toilet were always wet due to understand that you floor drainage. The hotel location was considered far from the metro station around 10- 12 min fast walk. The hotel was also around 400- 600 rubel away from city centre by taxi. Breakfast was the best thing in this hotel with great variety and nice view.

I have been coming back to this place for a simple reason: It is cheap and extremely central. The place is perfect if you are traveling alone for work and a short period of time to Kiev and do not have high expectations towards a hotel. Furniture and decoration are not nice, the breakfast is very basic and there isn't much eason to spend any time in the hotel other than to sleep. This place is however in the very center and also very cheap compared to other hotels, so if you do not mind the above mentioned "problems" and you just need a place to rest for a few hours then this is your place!

Just a note for anyone thinking of booking here in the first half of 2013. We'd booked a room for a stay in July 2013 but received an email in January saying that the hotel would be closing temporarily for reconstruction as of 1 February. No reopening date was given, but as the location is excellent and the building likely to benefit from refurbishment, it may be worth keeping an eye out for it as a place to stay in future.
