Very attentive staff, good breakfast, tidy rooms. Great value for money. Awesome location - bars & restaurants in close proximity. Right next to the Kyiv Funicular & the metro station. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a good standard.

NUMBER 21 BY DBI I have stayed many times in the Impressa hotel, whilst I enjoyed my stays there it has changed from a hotel that needed some TLC. I am delighted to say this has happened under the management of DBI run by a great hotelier Irantha Duwage who also runs the Ramada Encore Kyiv under the DBI management umbrella. The transformation of the Impressa to Number 21 and its adjoining authentic Asian restaurant is truly amazing. I stayed in room 207 one of the rooms that has been left as it was its a super little suite with everything that a visiting business person may require. It is beautifully furnished and was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel reception has changed to very welcoming reception with very pleasing and attractive sitting area for meeting or waiting for your driver or taxi. The room behind reception is the most beautiful suite and what was two rooms is now one carefully designed with warm colours that, add to the great ambiance. There is a small however delightful family room that I was pleased to be shown. I had a most pleasant stay and the receptionists had the most helpful attitude and really nothing was too much trouble very keen to make sure your stay was a pleasant experience. The reception also leads to the rest rooms for the restaurant with the décor in the same warm natural glow of the wood finish, the toilets are very stylish as befits this superb hotel. The Kitchen21 restaurant has undergone the most scintillating change. I always thought that it was the restaurant that wasn’t up the same standard as the hotel. The modern Asian cuisine under the expert care of brand chef Swapnil Mulundkar is unlike any other. I have had the pleasure of tasting under the expert guidance of Robert McNeill the CEO of Pulse the best Marketing Company in Ukraine and great friend, whose guest I was at the tasting of some succulent perfectly prepared dishes. We had a selection of starters to share that were prepared by Brand Chef Swapnil Mulundkar the dishes were expertly crafted and prepared to get the taste buds going in overdrive, with the just right mix of herbs and spices. The Calamari Carbonara with the egg made for a new and, improved dish followed by Malai Chicken Tikka, Chicken Tikka and Mumbai Ka Butter Chicken That dish accompanied by Naan bread, the chicken dishes fell apart almost by looking at them they were so tender a real taste experience. The butter chicken mopped up by my Naan bread so as not to miss a single drop of the exquisitely prepared sauce. I would recommend this restaurant for serving dishes that are totally authentic in their preparation The restaurant is a top-drawer Asian restaurant with an amazing ambience. The lighting is quite perfect. Enough that you can see clearly the menu quite enough that it Ideal for a romantic dinner. Tables are spaced enough so that your conversation is private. I had the Aloo Gobi it was perfect and possibly the hottest I ever tasted, delicious all the same. Desert I had the Halwa and Asian sweet desert from carrots. Swapnil is a brilliant chef. The cuisine is fabulous enough to ensure a return to this truly fabulous eatery in the historic area of Podil. I congratulate Irantha Duwage on the fabulous energy and feeling that he has put in to creating such a haven of good hospitality in Kyiv Fred Finn the world,s Most Travelled Person Guinness World Records 718 flights in Concorde and million miles

This small hotel is in an ideal location beside the funicular up to the city centre and a metro station. The street it is on has many restaurants and we found different places to eat on all five nights we were there without having to go any further. Our room was at the back and very quiet despite this being a busy area at night. I could hear the metro as others have pointed out but it is not disturbing at all. Although it was hot we could set the air conditioning to a comfortable temperature when needed. The room cleaning was efficient and water was provided every day, and the wi-fi was excellent. As the hotel was completely refurbished recently everything is new. Staff at the reception were very friendly and a pleasure to meet. The breakfast is served in the Indian restaurant in the building, and it not a buffet which is understandable given the small size of the hotel. The breakfast menu was 'English', 'Ukranian', 'Continental' and 'Peruvian' but some of the components of these were not available, so the choice was more limited. I think it would be better to offer each component separately and then people would have more choice.
