Hyatt Regency Hotel Dubai

Beautiful hotel Staff are courteous and very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Good quality of sleep. Bathroom was very nice. We opted for breakfast only and we weren’t disappointed with the variety of food at the buffet. The hotel also holds a coffee shop. Special thanks to Navneet who was always eager to help and very much appreciated by the family. Overall we had a very pleasant stay

This was unfortunately one of my worst hotel experiences in Dubai. I booked the Hyatt Regency Dubai for three nights. At check-in, I asked the staff member whether I could check out earlier if my plans changed. Instead of simply explaining the policy, his attitude was unhelpful and focused immediately on what it would cost me. Since I was waiting for a friend to arrive, I decided to wait and complete the check-in together. A few minutes later, when my friend arrived, I approached the reception again and was assisted by a lady whose attitude was completely different. She was professional, welcoming and genuinely helpful. She assisted us in selecting suitable rooms, and when I asked about the possibility of checking out early, she handled the matter smoothly and told me it would not be a problem. Her professionalism stood out, particularly because the overall operation of the hotel felt disorganised. I chose a suite, but unfortunately it was a major disappointment. I had stayed at this hotel more than 15 years ago, when I remember it being an excellent property. Returning after all these years, I was surprised by how dated it felt. The furniture, carpets and overall room environment appeared to have changed very little. The ambience felt old, heavy and uncomfortable rather than what I would expect from a five-star hotel in Dubai. To be fair, the room service and several other staff members were good, and I have no complaints about their attitude or efforts. My impression is that the bigger problem is with the overall management, organisation and maintenance of the property, and unfortunately this reflects on the guest experience. Breakfast was probably the worst part of the stay. It was arranged in a banquet hall and was extremely crowded and chaotic. The atmosphere felt more like a busy market than breakfast at a five-star hotel. The hotel appeared to have a high number of guests during a promotional or discounted period, but it did not seem prepared to handle the volume. There appeared to be insufficient staff, organisation was poor, and the quality and presentation of the food were well below expectations. Based on this stay, I simply cannot understand how this property delivers a five-star experience. Dubai has an exceptionally high standard of hospitality, and compared with many other hotels in the city, my experience here was closer to what I would expect from a much lower-category hotel. The most disappointing part is that I remember this hotel being excellent many years ago. Unfortunately, my recent stay gave the impression of a property that has not kept pace with the standards and expectations of Dubai’s hotel industry. I would not choose to stay here again unless there is a significant refurbishment and a clear improvement in management, organisation and the overall guest experience.

My experience with World of Hyatt at Hyatt Regency Dubai was outstanding. The entire stay was smooth, comfortable, and exceeded my expectations. The staff were welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist. I would especially like to thank Mr. Afzaal for his exceptional hospitality, kindness, and dedication to guest satisfaction. He truly made my stay memorable. I look forward to staying at Hyatt Regency Dubai again and highly recommend it to everyone.
