The Marine Hotel

Had a weekend break with family. Hotel location is perfect, facing the sea and just 10 minute walk to the diamond area. Plenty of car parking available to the rear of the main hotel. Biggest positive were the front of house staff. All of them, whilst very busy, were so pleasant and smiling! A real credit to the hotel. Bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Our room was a little bit basic though with no aircon or fridge. Bathroom was fine and the shower had good power and heat. Breakfast was a standard hot and cold buffet. Plenty of staff on hand and hot food items were replenished frequently. One main negative, and to be fair, outside the control of the hotel, was the incessant noise of boy racer cars. In summary, we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay and will be happy to stay again.

Awful- DO NOT STAY HERE! - booked a suite to find it above a nightclub! £225 per night and only restaurant serves pizza and mac and cheese on plastic tables Waited over an hour for 2 pizza and ended up giving up as never arrived Checked out after day 1 of 2 to go to a decent hotel - better loose the money for the 2nd night than stay here!! AVOID THIS HOTEL!

We stayed at the Marine Hotel on 19 August and had a wonderful experience. We were a group of three and the manager at reception was extremely helpful in arranging a suitable room for us and making sure everything was sorted from our dinner reservations to the room requirements. We travelled all the way from the United states, and the service we received from the staff made our stay even more enjoyable. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to help us.
