Benedicts Hotel

Pleasant staff and a good location, although the area has seen better days. I asked for a quiet room and was allocated one on the second floor at the rear, so away from the main road. However, on Friday night the “Lively Club” kept me awake until 1pm when the disco ended. Ear plugs made no difference and the room vibrated with the percussion. I asked for the sound to be moderated but that went nowhere. The next day reception told me I should have reserved an executive room instead of a twin. Unless you are a party animal I would give this place a miss, particularly at the weekend and unless you are on the top floor.

We were booked into a double room not a twin but receptionist couldn't have been more helpful transferring to a twin. She made sure we got all the vouchers ...2 complimentary drinks and a bottle of champagne which we could collect on checkout. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean , the beds and pillows extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spacious , had plenty of towels and toiletries. Every member of staff were very helpful nothing being too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing ,a great range of cereals, juices , pastries and a good selection of cooked options. The only issue we had was the volume of the music in the main bar , even shouting you couldn't hear what was being said . Our room was on the 3rd floor and to be honest the room was vibrating with the noise. I would stay again but not when there is music on.

The fact it was practically empty on pay day and freshers week speaks volumes. Loud music, obnoxious bouncers, poor service, even with cheap drink offers. Dated and attracts a certain cliente. Much better places in Belfast. Old and dated, like it's doormen lol
