Had a lovely overnight stay with a visit to the thermal spa village. Ate in Fratinis - plenty of food on the plate & delicious. Staff couldn't do enough in restaurants & generally.

Evening completely ruined by rude, confrontational and unhelpful staff. Attended the London Essence evening on 28th July. Meal quite good. Waiting staff very good and overall this could have been a pleasant evening. On arrival we spoke to the staff at the front desk regarding the booking of a taxi for when we were ready to leave and were told the length of the event can vary to just let them know when we were ready to go and they would arrange it then, so with this advice we continued the evening. As the event was winding down and approached the front desk once more and were told 'we should organise a taxi ourselves'. After trying a number of taxi companies with no luck we approached the desk again, explaining that we were told that we didn't have to pre arrange a taxi and that it would be no problem for them to arrange this. The staff member was rude, confrontational, stating it was not his problem if we were incapable of making appropriate plans to get home while having the situation explained to him appeared amused and made inappropriate comments. The upshot was that after a considerable time trying to source transport we started walking and luckily we managed to contact friends who after a time were able to pick us up as we were on the multiple mile walk home down roads at night, some without footpaths which was dangerous. Needless to say the evening was ruined. A complaint was made and the response was an apology, which considering the level of poor service and overall experience does not come close to what I would expect from a reputable business.
