After a horrendously tiring journey back from holiday when cancellations ended in us missing our flight back to Jersey we booked a flight from Southend home. This hotel was an absolute pleasure after such a stressful experience. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, the views from the rooftop bar are great and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The best thing is this hotel is a few minutes walk from the airport. Highly recommended !

We recently stayed for one night at the Holiday Inn Southend and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in a fantastic location right next to Southend Airport, making it incredibly convenient. There’s plenty of parking available at £15 for 24 hours, which seemed reasonable, and you simply pay on exit.
Check-in was a little slow to begin with, but once things got moving, the process was straightforward. We stayed in Room 209 and, considering how hot it was outside, it was lovely to walk into a beautifully cool room with a great view overlooking the airport. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.
The only slight disappointment was room service. We were told we had to go down to the restaurant to place our order, which seemed a little odd, so we ended up collecting the food ourselves.
Breakfast the following morning was served on the fifth floor, offering fantastic views across the airport. The breakfast was very enjoyable, and it was a lovely way to start the day. Check-out was quick and hassle-free.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable and perfectly located, and we’d happily stay here again. I’d certainly recommend it.

Lovely clean hotel and had the added bonus of looking onto Southend airport. Train station is only a few mins walk away to catch the train into Southend on sea. Took my dog and had to pay I think £35 for the night for him on top of the stay for ourselves. £154 inc brekkie plus £35 which made it expensive.
Only downside is that because we had the dog we couldn’t go in the restaurant and had to sit on lounge chairs with a low table which made it a bit awkward eating our full English. It made us feel like outcasts because of the dog. The member of staff who I spoke to tried to help and told us we could go and sit downstairs in the bar at a normal table but would have to come back up to the sky bar 5th floor i think to get our food 🫠🫠 that was the only downside. If your charging £35 for a dog made sure there are proper dining tables or don’t take dogs at all
