Premier Inn Mercury Gardens

Stayed at Romford, liberty bell. I had booked in online, just had tocollect our key card, we arrived at around 5.20pm, the website says you do not have air con, but get a fan from the front desk. Front desk had run out of fans, so anyone that came after us was out of luck too. We were in 206, nicely near the lift, as much husband cant walk too far. However very near the non soft closing fire door, which has a loud bang when it closes. Especially at 06.45am when the fire alarm went off, just long enough to get out of bed, then turn off, lioked out the door, no one out of their rooms, no fire engines. Back to bed, 07.48am fire alarm no 2, went off before we could get out of bed. It was a comfy room but VERY warm, the window doesn't open very far so no air. Not a good nights sleep especially as we were off to the hospital on Friday morning for an apt. We always use this premier inn, but really wasn't impressed this time.

Amazing! Clean, cool, quiet, has all facilities needed plus a coffee machine! Premium Plus room - highly recommended!

I always use this hotel due to its good car park and walking distance to Romford station. However, I would have cancelled during the heatwave if they hadn’t just introduced Premier Plus rooms at this site. Game Changer! Great air conditioning. Much improved Wi-Fi and really nice upgrades to decor in the rooms. The little extras (like a mini fridge) - particularly because it was sooooo hot - was a bonus
