Mercure Newbury Elcot Park Hotel

I'm a member at Elcot Park and I can say without a doubt that it has been the best investment. I sometimes work here, and often swim in the outdoor pool. I have also stayed, and every time I visit with friends or family the staff have been wonderful. But, I would like to say a special thank you to Corina. She is just so lovely and helpful, she always remembers me by name and she goes above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. So, thank you Corina!

After a trip to the theatre in Newbury we wanted some drink and nibbles in an outside environment. We all like The Retreat for dining and plumped for a 9.30pm visit. We hadn’t really considered it as a later evening drinks venue but the staff were accommodating and the absolute star of a waiter and chef whipped up some food and we had sangria and chicken, cheeseboard (gluten free) shortbread and nibbles at twilight overlooking the grounds. Fabulous! Would definitely recommend.

I was sitting outside in the dark and the amazing Esme who looked after us beautifully all evening brought candles to our table - thank you for such a nice thought
