My partner stayed in the hotel the first weekend of August and it was hot so having a fan in the room summed up the place - it was a really nice thoughtful touch. Excellent reception with friendly staff. The place is spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is competitive on price and it has a free car park. It's a short walk to Reading West station and Oxford Road, with it's shops and cafes, is literally at the end of the road. For my partner there is the added bonus that her son and his young family live two minutes walk away so she's planning to revisit before too long.

Customer service was excellent, helping me sort out the mess made of my booking (by a third party agent). They even gave me a free upgrade. My 2 friends who each had also booked rooms here were also upgraded. There was a whole car park to choose spaces from. I had a twin room (soul use) in the annex. It was roomy, clean and the bathroom very nice. Fairly basic but quiet and comfortable. We walked down to the main road and hopped on a bus into the town center with little wait for £2.30. It is walkable but we chose not to.

Do not book with these, they are not contactable either directly or via the Agents. We are currently in the middle of a dispute as we were unable to contact said hotel prior to making a 200 mile journey. We were also charged in full for the room 2 days after booking despite the fact we ticked the box to pay at the hotel. This was obviously blatantly ignored.
