Mercure Windsor Castle

Lovely little hotel that feels like home away from home. The staff was great and I even got a little ghost action I believe! Even though this isn't listed as a haunted hotel I had the wired thing happen. As I was making my coffee I had placed the lid back on the water bottle used to fill the reservoir on the Nespresso. I put the cap on and pressed down a little so it wouldn't fall off but I didn't screw it back. As I was putting the pod in the machine I watched the lid not only fall off the bottle but instead it launched itself almost into the hall beside the room. I watched this happen it didn't just fall off, it popped up and over like it was flicked. I immediately callrd out "hey stop that!" Luckily I was on the way to check out and that was the only time something like that happened but....uh yeah very fun! I didn't mention it to the staff because I didn't want to be seen as a weirdo. I still HIGHLY recommend the hotel and it's likely right across the street from the castle and in the heart of Windsor.

We were in a great location. We were walking distance to the castle, good shopping, and great restaurants.
