I accidentally blocked the toilet in my room. However, the toilet itself was faulty, which the lady behind the bar admitted, as the flush would not stop running. This caused the toilet to overflow, flooding the bathroom and eventually the bedroom.
When I informed the staff member about the situation, she was very disrespectful. She asked my age and said, "You're 27 and don't know how to use a toilet properly" and would continuously blame me for overflow eventhough she admitted to the toilet being faulty. I found this completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, while serving another customer at the bar, she openly discussed me blocking the toilet, which I felt was done to embarrass me. A few minutes later, another guest came in because water had started leaking into his room. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she again told him that I had blocked the toilet which at this point was boarderline bullying.
This was the worst customer service experience I've had in my whole life. While I understand people can be under pressure, it does not justify speaking to guests disrespectfully or discussing private issues with other customers to embarrass them.
That said, when the manager arrived, he handled the situation well. He listened to my concerns, moved me to a better room, made sure I was okay, and I appreciate his efforts to resolve the issue.
