Hartwell House & Spa

I had a really lovely stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I felt very comfortable and welcomed. The atmosphere was excellent—relaxed, peaceful, and very enjoyable throughout my stay.Would definitely recommend.

This is very luxurious, very pretty location with lovely grounds. Room (in the courtyard) was spacious and very comfortable, big bed and plenty of storage space. Breakfast was wonderful, and dinner was delicious with a varied menu and good wine. Staff very nice and helpful. There was no audible traffic noise and the whole experience was very relaxing. My wife tells me that the spa was fantastic and she had a lovely treatment from a very skilled masseuse. I can thoroughly recommend and I am sure we will return.

Advanced planning with the amazing Heather, who gave invaluable advice with the planning and recommendations, helped set up a perfect weekend for a proposal on an anniversary. During the weekend, all staff we interacted with from reception, to bar staff, to dinner service, spa and everyone else were amazing and thoughtful and went above a beyond. Even writing a surprise congratulations card left in the room during turn down service, using the lyrics from our favourite song within the message. The pianist kindly learnt this song and played it during a delicious dinner. We could not recommend Hartwell House enough, who created such special memories and we look forward to returning! All the staff deserve massive praise!
