We were two couples celebrating a special birthday. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very comfortable, with thoughtful touches - including delicious homemade shortbread!. The location was great for visiting attractions such as Waddesdon ManorNational Trust. The chef is a great cook, we decided it was one of the best cooked breakfasts, particularly the scrambled egg cooked to perfection! Would definitely love to stay again. We also enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant.

We came to stay as we were attending a wedding at Notley Tythe Barn. You can book a taxi with cabco for 16.50 each way, doesn’t look like uber serves the area. The cost of b and b is higher than options further afield but you might save on the taxi. We found a lovely welcome and quality room, the hosts were flexible about checking in as we headed for the wedding. The breakfast next day was good quality and we got a good nights sleep. Plenty of history in the place and looks like some good dinner options too - worth a visit.

We stayed for one night and had dinner and breakfast. The room was very comfortable , tea and coffee facilities and homemade shortbread which my husband enjoyed. The bed was super comfy, lovely duvet, we were snug and warm. However the bathroom was chilly it was large so think maybe the huge space was hard to heat. Very clean though. The food at dinner and breakfast was exceptional, nicely presented, full of flavour just delicious. I would go so far as to say the cooked breakfast was probably the best I’ve ever eaten. Nice friendly atmosphere with a large open fire which was very welcome on a cold night.
