We stopped off for lunch and had an exceptionally nice meal. We had expected a carvery which they no longer do on a Sunday but there’s a good menu with really great quality food and decent portions. The service from Janet was excellent.

Castletown Hotel has lovely Scottish staff has a nice selection of well cooked food and a small bar. Would suggest you need a car to stay as the town itself is restricted to a couple of shops. Having said that the day we were there the weather was nice so a stroll to the local beach and flag stone quarry relics and tourist centre were really enjoyable.

Love this hotel. Comfortable, clean rooms. Exceptionally dog friendly. Great restaurant on site that serves lovely food that is also great value. And brilliant, professional and friendly staff.
