Absolutely loved our stay here! We only stayed one night and knew we would not spend much time in the room, so booked the lowest category which was fine. The place is beautifully designed, so much attention to detail, really nicely done. Great cookies and coffee and stuff in the minibar, nice toiletries, very clean. Wonderful staff - everyone was accommodating and professional. We were given access to the room earlier as it was available and were allowed to keep the car in the hotel car park a little longer until we had finished our lunch - small gestures which go a long way! We ate twice in the hotel restaurant Parker’s Tavern - excellent food, great drinks in the bar, lovely views out to the Common. The only thing I would recommend: If you plan to stay for longer and may want to be in the room at times, book a higher category and at a higher level. We kept the curtains closed. The view was out to some backyard, not great. And the acoustics are not great either. Someone walked around in the room above us and it was quite loud. Fortunately they seemed to have been in there only briefly. We felt we got what we paid for, so no issue, but it’s something to keep in mind.
