Sorrento Hotel & Restaurant

I’m genuinely not sure whether I stayed in a hotel or accidentally booked myself into a low-budget horror film. First the hallways absolutely stank. Not just a little musty — proper “what died here?” levels of smell. Then I got to my room… and somehow things got even stranger. The room was making the most bizarre noises throughout the night, like creaking, banging and mysterious sounds that genuinely made it feel as though there was a ghost lurking around. 👻 And then there was the curtain around the four-poster bed. 🕯️ I genuinely couldn’t tell whether it was part of the decor or an original artefact from the Victorian era. It looked like it had been hanging there since 1892 and had personally witnessed several deaths. 😂 Then there was the Italian diner. 🍝 We arrived expecting pasta, wine and a little taste of Italy, only to find it already closed for the night. Apparently the restaurant follows a very exclusive opening schedule known only to the staff, management and possibly God himself. Breakfast was included, which sounded promising until we actually saw it. And then there was the jacuzzi. 🫧 NO BUBBLES BROKEN JACUZZI AND FISHY SMELLING PLUG HOLE?! 🐟 The sauna was tiny and old it looked like it had been wired in 1974. 🔥 I didn’t dare turn the dial on I wasn’t ready to meet the ghost of the previous guest. Me and a friend booked a relaxing hotel stay and instead received: * 👻 Unexplained paranormal-style noises * 🕯️ A four-poster curtain seemingly older than the building itself * 🐟 A jacuzzi with the aroma of a fish market * 🤢 Hallways that smelled like something had gone terribly wrong * 😭 Zero relaxation whatsoever By the end I was genuinely wondering whether my friend and I should sleep, evacuate or call Ghostbusters. Would I stay again? Absolutely not. Unless the next booking comes with a priest, a plumber and a fishing licence. 😂

Typical hospitality of the people of southern Italy. Great food and breakfast. I had some doubts about the mattress in the bed and it turned out to be super comfortable. I thank Pino for the directions on how to spend a wonderful day an hour from London! Given the incredible heat bubble that stagnated all summer in the south of England, an in-room fan would have helped

I am writing this negative review as I am spitting with rage at the incompetence of these people. I booked 5 rooms for myself and friends for September back in februrary, called again to confirm in March, then called again yesterday.....................on all three occasions I was told the rooms were booked............................only to recieve an email later in the day to tell me they were not. I spoke to the guy who took the originak booking ( along with my credit card details), who mumbled something about it being "provisional", I asked hom to explain what he thought I meant when I had called him twice to vonfiorm. Needless to say I won't be reccomending this place and now have to find another hotel Poor show!
