I was in one of the refurbished rooms. I am not a fan! Whne you're travelling for work and need to work from your room, the tiny tables are useless compared to the proper desks that were in before!
There was also a smell, possible from the new carpet, but as I have rhinitis, it made me ill, thankfully I had a nasal spray and albas oil with me which helped. The water pressure in the shower lives up to Premier Inn's depressingly poor standard.
The room was too hot, there was an error on the air con display, so that made for pretty uncomfortable nights. Could have done with a fan, though I've ordered a couple of travel fans that I'll have to take with me on future trips just in case.
What really left a lasting impression was the breakfast - I don't usually bother these days but I thought I'd treat myself... However, it was cold! Really inexcusable! However, I couldn't see the waitress and didn't have time to loiter, so left it, and didn't bother risking breakfast at all on the second day, so wasted that money.
