Chester Grosvenor And Spa

A nostalgic trip back to The Grosvenor for our 40th wedding Anniversary . We’ve been coming here for years, and it remains one of our favourite places, with its timeless old-world glamour and charm. As always, the staff were helpful and welcoming. Our continental breakfast, included in the room price, was delicious and plentiful. It’s lovely to return to somewhere that still has such a wonderful sense of character and tradition. Sadly The Grosvenor is closing at the end of September, this trip was a chance to experience it one last time. Sadly, the hotel is now well overdue for a refurbishment, and there was quite a lot of visible wear and tear in places. It has unfortunately lost some of the sparkle and grandeur that made it so special. Our room was comfortable, but it was clear that many of the furnishings and fittings are now in need of replacement. It was sad to see the hotel in this condition so I’m hoping whoever take on the task of the refurbishment brings it back to it former glory 🙏 Good luck to all the staff

My wife and I'm stay at the G is our one and only.,We visited Chester loads of times, over the years, and always wanted to stay at the G Now it is closing we went. The hotel is past its best but it retains an excellent standard of service. Because of the passage of time it is "tired" but impressive. It is sad experience to be staying at it's demise but a stay which we were "glad" to do. God knows what will happen to it's excellent fixtures and fittings. (RIP arise soon).

Another amazing stay at our favourite hotel . Wonderful stay and the service and rooms was just exactly what we expect that is why we keep coming back . The room we had was exceptional and the bathroom was beautiful . Left my charger and they are posting it back to me , thank god for the housekeeping being vigilant . We love you Chester Grosvenor and look forward to seeing you on the other side of the refurbishments . Loyal customers that will miss you x
