Whiston Hall Golf Club

Had the most beautiful Wedding Day here on Sunday 16th August, James and all of his staff were amazing really couldn’t of asked for anything more! From the night before with my bridesmaids (even though they was super busy with a wedding that day to) to the morning after our wedding nothing at all was to much trouble James did everything to help make sure our day was perfect! We cant wait to return for another stay will definitely be visiting whenever we get chance 🤍🤍🤍

Fantastic location especially for somewhere close to the Churnet Valley railway. Only a few minutes drive away. The hotel itself had great views and the staff were really helpful in sorting out a change of room as I'd booked a ground floor room on booking.com but apparently that was not passed onto the hotel so we were put upstairs. I have breathing issues and struggle to climb stairs but they moved things around so that we could be downstairs. Very much appreciated that. I loved the hotel and would stay again but I did feel the rooms were a bit shabby in places( paint missing on walls, extractor fan loose in the bathroom and the shower door didn't have rubber on the bottom where it met the bath so all the water went through the gap and flooded the floor) There was no hairdryer in the room even though it was listed but I decided not to wash my hair so no problem. We did ask for an iron and board and this was brought to us immediately. Again much appreciated. The downstairs bar/reception area was nicely decorated though and I can't fault the breakfast. It was beautiful and served by a really lovely friendly guy (sorry didn't get his name) Nice golf course in front of the hotel too with stunning views and a feature fountain. Nice area to sit and enjoy the views with a drink.

We had our wedding reception at Whiston Hall and it was the best evening. They couldn't do enpugh to help us and made it extra special. The staff were marvellous, helpful and friendly. The food was amazing. The rooms were spectacular. I also had my hen party there. Can't wait to celebrate our anniversaries there. I highly recommend them. Such a beautiful venue. They decorated the function room beautifully
