Penventon Park Hotel

Great concept, wonderful staff. The service of old times is lived out as a matter of course and very convincingly. The historic interior is very well maintained and authentically modernized. Many thanks for this history-conscious handling of the house. We felt extremely well taken care of. Some rooms may not have a great view, but they are beautiful inside and have carefully, wonderfully restored, spotless bathrooms. Excellent, varied breakfast buffet. Thank you!

Very good location for exploring the area ( St. Ives, Land’s End, Penzance, Falmouth, Truro). Excellent customer service and food. A room we had was specious but very hot at night despite of windows being slightly open ( child’s locks on the windows). There was a fan in the room but it was insufficient and noisy. Top floor rooms need good quality air con unit in our opinion. We kept waking up at night because we were so hot and it was a mild temperature outside). The room was clean but it just needed a little bit more attention to detail ( it was cleaned daily but things were missed like thick dust on the glass top of the dresser. It was not a big deal for us. The pool looks tired and it needs TLC. The concrete rim of the swimming pool was very dark in places which put me off swimming as I was not sure what it was and how clean the environment really was. Some guests did not adhere to the rules of the spa. I saw a gentleman walking bare foot through the hotel and going straight into the pool. I would stay again in the hotel but I would not use the pool. Overall, it is a place worth visiting. Staff were exceptional!

Perfect stay for us and our group with the dog included! staff were friendly and accommodating, Our little puppy Labrador was welcomed really warmly and what a lovely touch with the pooch welcome pack!
