The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate

We went yesterday for Sunday lunch. The four of us picked the two course option £28 a head , we all chose beef over the pork . The plates arrived piping hot the food was cold. One slice of beef very tough two potatoes which had an unpleasant fried taste and cabbage carrots parsnips all over cooked the cauliflower cheese wasn’t brilliant but certainly the best on the plate . We asked for horseradish sauce a strange white liquid came with hard lumps in it tasting of horseradish but couldn’t eat it not sure what the lumps were rice quinoa? We were all hungry so rounded up with sticky toffee pudding and ice cream probably the only thing bought in and they hadn’t altered

Sunday Lunch - Awful, Beef appalling even a steak knife could not cut it. This was a visiting family meal out. Our guests not happy. Also charged for a two course meal for 4 people, when we all had only one course each. Would not eat there again.

Fantastic hotel. Relaxed and smart. Lovley stylish rooms. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. Spa area was clean and modern. Staff were always helpful and professional. I have no idea why some reviews are not positive. This is a great hotel in a great area. In lovely surroundings. Wonderful stay.
