Best Western Ambleside Salutation Hotel

Had an indulgence Spa Day. I’ve used the spa for many years, but a while ago it went downhill a bit. But delighted to say, The Salutation Spa is back to its usual self - a friendly, small, no rush place with pleasant treatments. Pool and outdoor jacuzzi are lovely. No it isn’t flash or fancy like some others I’ve been to in the area, but you are treated as an individual and given a warm, genuine welcome. Staff are so helpful. Thank you. See you again soon.

We've just returned from another wonderful stay, our 9th visit, and it certainly won't be our last! From the moment we arrive, we're always made to feel welcome by the amazing staff. Every member of the team is friendly and professional. The rooms are always comfortable and beautifully maintained, making it the perfect place to relax. But for us, the real icing on the cake is the swimming pool and spa area, it's one of the main reasons we keep coming back. Thank you to everyone for another memorable stay – we're already looking forward to visit number 10!

Stayed at the Salutation Hotel in Ambleside for a few nights in June and had a really enjoyable stay. We booked the Olive Mews Suite and it was worth every penny. The room was spacious and comfortable, with the added luxury of a large whirlpool bath, sauna and steam room. After a day out walking and exploring the Lakes, it was lovely to come back and relax in our own private spa area. The weather was unusually warm during our visit, so the air conditioning was a real bonus and made the room very comfortable, especially at night. The hotel is in a great location, right in the centre of Ambleside with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend the Olive Mews Suite if you're looking for a special treat.
