Churchill Inn

Perfectly situated in town centre. On arrival we had a greeting from a friendly member of staff who advised parking and we managed to secure a parking space. We were given room 1 that had a gorgeous bay window and view of town and hills in background. The bed was sooo comfortable. I did think it was expensive but on reflection it was quite the bargain! Live music in the evening and a wonderful hearty breakfast to set us up for the day! Thanks to all staff as you are a credit to this Inn!

This is without doubt the best place for a drink in Ambleside . We called in after a Windemere boat trip and found the staff top people . The layout and comfort of the seating is very impressive . Nice music and the food looked very good value . Although the kitchen were behind on orders the front of house staff ( especially a lady serving ) very politely gave customers apologies for any delay . Next time we are in Ambleside we will head here for food and drink

Absolutely brilliant place food was spot on lovely family pub dogs are welcome in in a location that is to die for very friendly place and accommodating with a fussy wife with food, changed part of her dinner because it was a bit to spicy and didn't charge any extra. Would definitely be back and a big thankyou to all the staff and compliments to the chef. Totally enjoyed everything. Thankyou.
