Premier Inn Carlisle (M6 Junction 44)

Welcoming. Very clean. Reception team Welcoming. No restaurant.

BE CAREFUL registering your car number plate at check in does not always work , registered my vehicle details, still got a fine for £25.00 from Horizon parking . contacted premier inn head office and they where not interested in helping. If you use this hotel take a photo when you registered your vehicle as you get no other proof of registering when parking , its a complete scam, premier should be disgusted about how they are ripping off customers when parking. Such a shame as i use this hotel on many of occasions when traveling never again.

The hotel has a perfect position to allow exploration of the Scottish border region. Some excellent roads for bicycling and motorbikes. Rooms were clean and comfortable. What really let this hotel down is the restaurant. Limited choice of evening meals. What was offered must have been prepared by a cook without taste buds. Over spiced to an eye watering degree. Breakfast porridge was a solid mass that could have held Excalibur better than the stone. Hot breakfast just wasn’t hot. Bakery selection was quite nice though.
