WHAT A PLACE! Only just returned home from a four day trip to Irton Hall and wow, where do I begin. The manor is stunning, the staff ( Emma especially ) was so welcoming. Food TOP TIER. They call themselves the hidden gem, and it is very true. I’m already wishing I could get back in the car and return. Dog friendly, which is a bonus! INCREDIBLE location for wondrous hikes, and long beach walks. So many pubs to stop off at. Truly the most magical weekend.

Honestly wow! Felt so lucky to find this gem in the beautiful Lake District, not only was the accommodation itself incredible, the staff, facilities and attention to detail was first class. To go into a little more detail, we stayed in one of the houses to the left of the hall. It was incredibly spacious and had everything you could passingly need, everything was clean and well looked after. We ate in the hotel bar one evening and the food was Devine, we pretty much ordered the whole menu and it was all so delicious with a great variety! The grounds are looked after so well and we loved seeing the pigs, chicken, geese, pheasants, dogs and cats!! The staff were so welcoming and accommodating, anything we needed they delivered and in a timely manner. Honestly the whole weekend was so lovely from start to finish, I cannot wait to go back again soon! The area as a whole was great too with lots of amazing pubs (especially the Bridge Inn) and Incredible scenic walks. Thank you so much Irton Hall for having us!

The bath ran hot for 5 minutes then cold for the rest, last thing you want after a cold rainy day out. The decor was outdated and some in disper, the bed had leather covering on the divan base half peeled off. The walls had marks on and the carpets. Then as soon as some went onto the landing or the stairs the whole house would be awake as the floorboards need repairing.
