The Inn at Brough

I believe this has had a recent refurb and name change to The Wilding Hotel - though it's not listed as such on TripAdvisor. In any event, that refurb seems to have improved things enormously based on my experience and compared to previous travellers comments of a year+ ago. The room was clean and comfortable with a good bed and all the extras one might expect. The bathroom too was new and included lots of fluffy towels and toiletries. Dinner and breakfast were both very good - I had a very nice piece of lamb delightfully presented whilst my sister had a huge fish and chips that spilled over the side of the plate (I helped her devour a third of it!). Service was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Well worth your attention for a bed or meal (or both!).

Stopped off for lunch. We were not disappointed. Excellent food, service and staff We sat outside- it was clean and added to the great experience. The dog thoroughly enjoyed being part of the experience Would highly recommend to couples , families

Very nice staff, a nice room room but awful evening meal. Not sure why as it was a Saturday night. We were offered a substandard school dinners sort of burger and chips and a heated up shop-bought apple pie. The breakfast was better. The room was clean and warm but it was an odd experience- no one really seemed to be in charge
