Very friendly staff, very helpful and polite. This was a return visit for my best friend and myself as a girlie treat to ourselves. Rob was very accommodating when we had to change dates due to unforeseen circumstances. Room was spacious and well equipped , comfortable beds and lovely fluffy towels. Quiet even though we were close to the road. The only minor bugbear was that there was a heated towel rail in the bathroom which couldn’t be turned off and we were in the middle of a heatwave There is a small but adequate beer garden at the front of the hotel. Our evening meal and included breakfast were both excellent, with. Plenty of options for every taste / appetite. I fully recommend this out of the way hotel in a small village near Workington.
