Lovely place to stay. Rooms immaculately clean. Bed comfy with lots of pillows. Great shower. Hosts go above and beyond. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Now we’ve found this gem we will definitely be back. Just sad we didn’t book a longer stay. Fergus is cute too x

An absolute gem. We stopped for one night to break up a journey to Scotland and are so glad we chose Acorn Guest House. Our room, although on the front of the property, was so peaceful and quiet. The level of comfort was superb and everywhere was spotlessly clean. You can’t ask for more than that! Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The generous breakfast set us up nicely for the second leg of our journey and if we were to make a similar journey, we would certainly look to break it up by staying here again.

Stayed at this hotel in Penrith after a day trip to London deciding we didn’t want to make the 40 mile journey home after a long day. We were not disappointed bed was exceptionally comfortable lovely clean accommodation very accommodating hosts. Our train was delayed but it wasn’t a problem arriving late, but outstanding issue was breakfast. It was cooked to order exceptionally high quality non-greasy and was a great end to the stay at this property. Will definitely be an option for us in the future
