Dene House

Beautiful, well located guest house that is scrupulously clean with lovely owners and staff. The king room we stayed in was well appointed with a very comfy bed and excellent shower. Tea, coffee and biscuits renewed every day. Actually have drawers rather than shelves provided by so many places these days. Breakfast was proper orange juice, cereals, fresh fruit and fry up. The lovely owner of the property helped us get our car going again when our battery failed. Would highly recommend Dene House as a place to stay.

A lovely b and b located quietly in an area close to the town centre, but far enough to be secluded in tranquility. It is really a nice spot 5 minutes walk to the excellent town centre which offers great restauarant and shops combined with old fashioned bars etc.... The onsite parking is a plus which is safe and roomy immedialtely outside the front of the property. We had room 2 which is lovely, large, airy and well designed. It has a walk in small cubicle shower for easy access. Nice toiletries plus tea and coffee facilities, and the useful fridge. A very comfortable super king bed and also a nice clean feel around the whole establishment, never mind just the bedroom. Lovely hosts who serve a delicious breakfast add to the experience nicely. When we are back in Bowness, we will return to this b and b.

Just returned from a 2 night stay. From the beginning we were made to feel welcome. Within walking distance of the lake, & I do walk with a stick. Free parking was very useful too lovely & peaceful. The breakfast was freshly cooked & the quality was high. Would definitely return if in the area
