Howbeck Hotel - Guest House

Lovely welcome followed by a really relaxing stay of three nights. Great location for Windermere which has some very good bars and restaurants. Bowness is a little further but also busier and bustling. The Howbeck is traditional and friendly with excellent cuisine for breakfast. Safe car parking was important for us and there are good spaces here. We will return as the Howbeck is a convenient base to see more of the lakes.

Great location and nice accommodation. Let down a bit by the mediocre quality of the bed and bedding, which made for a bit of an uncomfortable sleep.

Fantastic B&B, comfortable rooms (as we have stayed in a king-size and double room over 2 x visits) staff are friendly and welcoming. Great location with it being a 5 min walk along to windermere and 10 mins down the hill into Bowness. And a big plus is that it has spacious parking to the rear. Definitely the best for comfort and location
