Stags Head Hotel

Comfortable stay, don't let the reviews put you off. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms which were exceptionally clean. The pub downstairs is welcoming and fun, friendly regulars. The breakfast is exceptional. Rooms are a little dated but in-fitting with the age and style of the pub. Excellent location, a 5 minute walk from the pier and bus stop. Staff were happy to store our luggage both pre and post-check-in/out. Stayed with my adult daughter and elderly parents, and we've all agreed that we would stay again.

We have just left this morning after a 2 day stay. The location is excellent. All the staff were lovely and helpful. There is no onsite parking, but you can drive up to the church across the path and pop your luggage into the hotel, before parking in the nearby car park. But beware there are yellow lines everywhere and regular traffic wardens dishing out tickets. We arrived with our Motorbike and dropped on a lovely lady at the church who let us tuck our motorbike into the side of the church were it was secure and in full view of the security cameras at the hotel. The hotel security staff also said they would keep an eye on. Do not be put off by the nightclub. We were in room 27 and never heard anything or anyone. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We have fresh towels and toiletries throughout our stay and the breakfast was amazing !! The chef cooked it to our specifications and it was delicious. We paid £230 for the two of us for two nights and when you consider it is £778 to stay next door for the same area, this hotel is very much value for money. We would stay here again. There is also 10% off all food and drinks for guests !!

Mark the doorman is brilliant
