Lovely hotel & staff and really quirky great room - wish we had booked for longer - sat outside and watched international music parade go by

Very over priced. We paid £180 for one night with no breakfast included. Other reviews mention a voucher but we didn’t get one. Check in wasn’t until 4pm which is quite late and we had to be out by 10am. Room a bit tatty and bed had a long hair on it and there was also one in the shower so not terribly impressed. Tea and coffee making were facilities provided but no information re WiFi password, check out time etc so had to ask at the bar. Shower didn’t work and no where to put wash bag in bathroom. Bed was comfy though and did manage to get some sleep despite the noise from the street outside. Parking was a bonus but extremely tight ie nerves of steel needed as people sitting inches away. Bottom line? We wouldn’t stop there again.

When we arrived at The Gales Hotel LLangollen, it was very busy as we were there for the David Gray Concert. Bronwyn the Manager was so helpful, she even moved her own car to allow us to park our car in the Gales courtyard car park. Our room was spacious , spotlessly clean with a big bathroom. The Gales has a fantastic location in the middle of all the local Llangollen town centre amenities, we had a wonderful breakfast in The Pickle Cafe with Bethan and all her team. All fresh products made that morning, both businesses made our stay with their friendliness and going the exta mile to look after us. We would definitely go back to both venues, excellent value for both The Gales Hotel and The new Pickle Cafe. Good luck to both Annie & Graham from Liverpool!
