The Manor House hotel

My wife and I stayed for one night in the Loren Suite. Excellent. Plenty of room, and couldn’t have asked for better. Breakfast was first class, with enough options to choose from. And the service we received at breakfast again was excellent. We would stay again if and when we go back to Dronfield. Thank you.

I this hotel . Rooms are clean and smart . Breakfast is excellent. Staff friendly.

As we hung around waiting to check in, a man appeared to complain that he had just gone up to his room and it was already occupied. An inauspicious start. Our room is desperately in need of work - black mould in the shower and at the window, paint flaking, tiles cracked, carpet soiled and torn. Although there were 2 of us booked for several days they put us in a room with one chair, 2 tiny drawers for our clothes and 2 coat hangers. The wifi didn't work. When I told a staff member (the one who had given the wrong key) she said "but it's free!". So they didn't charge us for something we didn't have. The wifi in the bar DID work, but that meant you had to sit in a room with loud conversations and loud music blasting. The other room, where they serve breakfast, also had the music and was full of groups of shoppers who had popped in for a drink and chat. I would have given this one star but the staff, with one exception, were all very nice, friendly and capable and the room actually seemed clean.
