Premier Inn High Wycombe/Beaconsfield

We stayed at the Premier Inn High Wycombe Beaconsfield in September 2026. It is a VERY BASIC place to stay. No one about to speak to on check-in (all automated) Small room, grubby curtains , limited parking… eventually squeezed the car in a narrow spot. Already decided we wouldn’t revisit when 3 weeks later we get a parking fine. (Parking if you’re staying is meant to be free!) would avoid this location.

The most disgusting place I have ever had the misfortune of staying at. As a regular premier inn user it comes as a huge shock that this is the feedback I am giving. The bar was tired, filthy and the food average at best. But the toilets were the dirtiest I have ever encountered, someone had used two of the toilets for an upset stomach but left the evidence all over the seats, the back of the loos, dirty toilet tissue on the floor and had not flushed. Reported to bar staff but the toilets were not sealed off. The corridors to the room had bin bags on them and were filthy. But to top it off we had sheets left on the sofa bed for us to make it up ourselves. We stayed 1.5 hours, checked out and requested our money back which we have. A complaint has been put into the company with photo evidence but they haven’t bothered to reply. I would add this photo evidence to this review but I think it is way too disgusting to view.

The room was dated and not overly clean, sticky floor and broken toilet seat. You can hear everything which is unusual for these hotels. Food in the adjoining restaurant was not great. Had no choice but to use it due to work commitments. One lovely long standing member of staff who knew what she was doing. Poor trainee was clueless. Morning three the same member of staff was horrified to discover that the stand in chef on Wednesday evening produced a ‘limited ‘ menu of the things he could cook quickly. This was about 3 dishes from each section. He claimed stock was low, she said he couldn’t be bothered with pizzas etc. the restaurant was sticky, smelt of cheap air freshener and the service was so slow. No one knew how to work the till. I would say this lady, I didn’t get her name, was the only person who keeps this premier inn going. They are upgrading, there is very little parking due to work vans and honestly I wouldn’t return - although I do think this brand has had its day. Restaurants were much better when outsourced and staffed by people who knew how to cook and how to run a restaurant.
