Holiday Inn Express East Midlands Airport

Good location for the airport. Had a very early flight so breeakfast was missed. Was only there a few hours but friendly staff and the place was clean.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Alton Towers theme park. Very quiet for an airport hotel, we had a room at the far end of a corridor which was great as there was little foot traffic. Small but comfortable room, the child’s bed was a pull out sofa bed but our daughter found it very comfortable. Lovely little touch in the bathroom where there is a sign informing you if you have forgotten any toiletries you can ask at reception and the will provide it. Easy check in and breakfast the following morning was great. One of the best I have had at an airport hotel. We have booked again for another stop over visit later in the year. Just make sure you get your parking code from reception before paying as it is then half price.

Stayed here twice now, the first stay two weeks ago, which was absolutely perfect - and this one was the same. We’re often this side for racing at Donnington, and then we treat ourselves to a hotel stay before heading back home. The beds are so comfortable, noise is minimal (the odd doors banging from people coming and going but that’s to be expected in a hotel close to the airport). Check in was great with friendly staff. We ordered food to take up to the room from the restaurant - I would highly recommend the Margherita pizza and salt and pepper chicken, both were absolutely delicious. I felt well rested once I woke up thanks to the comfort of the bed and pillows, and a delicious breakfast awaited us, with everything you could ask for - bacon, sausages, eggs, tomato, hash browns, pancakes, yoghurts, cereals as well as pastries with little bags provided if you wish to take some away with you - If you don’t find something you like, you must be the fussiest of fussy eater! Both stays have been wonderful and I truly look forward to coming back again.
