Terrible experience Booking Booked over a month in advanced, was pressured to pay in advance and when I wouldn’t was not treated well over the phone. When I phoned two days before to confirm my booking they had booked me for the wrong night and missed a night off the booking. Room paid £75 a night to have to clean the mold from the bath, the walls are damaged and the had to wash the scum from the bottom of the tub, half the lights didn’t work, had to fix the TV for it to work and then ended up SCRAPPING MY TOE ON A BROKEN TILE! Food The only redeeming thing about this place was the restaurant and the staff which were pleasant and helpful. The food was really good and reasonably priced. Functions Our organisation had booked a function room as well which was a disaster as we had problem after problem with the booking. We booked one room and were shoved into another one as the hotel had booked a wedding in the room we had already booked! Definitely wouldn’t recommend and we definitely won’t be coming back.

We've stayed there few times already during BTCC and always been happy with the place so we were coming back. This weekend we received room which was in completely rubbish condition. Firstly we cannot lock the room from the inside, cabinets were falling apart, ceiling wallpaper hanging down, mouldy silicone around bathroom, toilet seat loose, light over the mirror cracked, bath cover cracked with sharp edges and much more. Complete disaster. Worst breakfast I've ever tasted, we were having a bootle of champagne but no chance for bucket of ice as they don't have any. Just avoid!

We stayed here whilst visiting our family who live nearby. We had a really good stay with a beautiful restaurant which we went to twice (15% off for guests). The manager was so kind and accommodating. We will definitely stay next time we are in Derby.
