Huntingdon House Hotel

We have stayed in many hotels and I can safely say that the Hill hotel was one of the best with friendly and helpful staff. Although the rooms were a tad small, they were immaculate and had most things that you would need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was good and cooked to order and accompanied with fresh orange juice, toast etc.. Very good quality, but typical of breakfasts in many small hotels up and down the country. A 'continental' breakfast would be a nice change. Dumfries itself has seen better days, but has a decent shopping center and some good restaurants. If you visit Dumfries, I heartily recommend the Hill hotel, and while you're there , visit the aircraft museum. It's well worth it.

Spent a very pleasant couple of nights here. There is everything that you need, well equipped bedroom, a decent breakfast and benefits from a bar. All the public areas were clean and in good condition. Overall, a good place to stay.

Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay where Terry and Lynne made us feel most welcome. The room was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. Terry has a wealth of local knowledge which he shared with us and as a result we found many hidden gems that we would otherwise have never seen. Plenty parking. Great location. Would highly recommend.
